This program offers practical training in various fields, from podcasting to web design and fashion. Through collaboration with industry professionals and organizations such as GIZ and One Fine Day Berlin, participants gain valuable skills and real-world experience.
Podcast WorkshopIn partnership with GIZ (Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) and One Fine Day Berlin, we hosted a series of five podcast workshops between May and July 2022. Each cycle consisted of a 10-day training program for 10 young adults to learn professional podcast production skills.
Participants received training in theory, practical production, and marketing, and learned about the impact of podcasts on a wide range of topics.
The workshops were held at AMP studios in Westlands and led by mentors Nick Loader and Paul Peter Kades.
Website WorkshopAn extensive workshop was hosted for three young adults in the field of web design, spanning four months. The aim of the program was to equip these motivated participants with the basic skills necessary to begin their careers in web design and development.
During the program, the participants received training in digital marketing, graphic design, video editing, web development, and their respective software tools. These skills were put to the test by actively employing them on a group project of developing the website for Anno's One Fine Day from start to finish.
This special workshop was hosted by Pulse Kenya.
Fashion WorkshopWe hosted a 4-week fashion workshop for 12 young adults in late 2022. The workshop was held at the studios of Kenyan fashion designer Neomi Ng'ang'a, with fabrics sponsored by ther Berlin fashion lable Kaviar Gauche.
Participants learned practical skills such as drawing, designing, cutting, sewing stitching, and overlocking, as well as gaining an understanding of fabrics and an introduction to starting their own fashion business and marketing. The workshop culminated in a presentation of a dress created by each participant.
